REA Management Team Pays Courtesy Visit to NERC
The management team of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) led by the acting Managing Director, Abba Aliyu was at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) for a courtesy visit on Friday.
The REA team comprising Executive Directors and management staff was at NERC to seek cooperation on its plan to reform the agency and expand its reach in renewable energy drive, which includes mini-grid projects, energizing education, and energizing agriculture, among others.
Receiving the REA management team, NERC Chairman, Sanusi Garba urged the agency’s leadership to sustain its efforts in boosting access to electricity, especially across rural Nigeria. He also reiterated the commitment of the Commission to supporting the vision of REA in the best way towards achieving the onerous goal of improving indices in the power sector.
Present at the meeting were the NERC Commissioner, Legal, Licencing and Compliance, Dafe Akpeneye; NERC Commissioner, Finance and Management Services, Nathan Shatti; NERC Vice Chairman, Dr Musiliu Oseni; NERC Commissioner, Consumer Affairs, Aisha Mahmud, and NERC Commissioner, Planning Research and Strategy, Dr Yusuf Ali, as well as key management staff of the Commission.
